In April, our Management team selected the Ride or Stride for Claudio for company donations.

Ride or Stride for Claudio is a fundraiser event that raises money for the SickKids Lymphoma Research Fund. This fund supports the Division of Haematology and Oncology at Toronto’s SickKids Hospital. It is one of the largest divisions in the Department of Paediatrics. Most importantly it focuses on understanding how this disease develops, and progresses.

It should be noted that since its inception, ROSFC has raised and donated over $52,000 to this fund.

The ROSFC fundraiser was started in 2019 by the Franzini family in memory of their brother Claudio.  Claudio passed away at the age of 56 in 2018 of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Besides participating in fundraising events Claudio loved spending time with his family and friends. Not to mention his love of riding motorcycles. So this was unquestionably the perfect way to bring people together to celebrate his memory in an impactful way.

Hosted in September, Lymphoma Awareness Month, the ROSFC offers participants a choice from either a 5km walk or an 80km motorcycle ride. Once riders and striders return, everyone stays to enjoy an afternoon of food, along with music, games, and giveaways. This family-friendly event has a little something for everyone and is a great way to get out to support a fantastic cause.
